This Privacy Policy explains how MANAN SHARMA operating as GLITCHMIND TECHNOLOGIES ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the "Maya – AI companion & chat" mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Device and Technical Information
To identify you as a unique user (since the App does not require sign-up or login), we collect and store the following information, linked to your device:
- Device identifier (Android ID)
- Advertising ID
- Device operating system and OS version
- Device OS build ID
- App version
- Device brand, manufacturer, and model name
- Device type (phone, tablet, TV)
- UTM parameters (if you arrived via a marketing link/campaign)
This information is used to maintain your in-app profile (coin balance, unlocked AI Companions, streaks, premium status), prevent abuse/fraud, and for analytics and advertising purposes.
1.2 Chat Messages and Image Prompts
- Your chat messages and the text prompts you write to generate images are sent to our backend so that it can forward them to third-party AI providers to generate a response or image.
- Chat conversations are stored only locally on your device (via local SQLite database) and are not stored in our database.
- Generated images are stored only on your device. Our backend stores limited metadata about image generation requests (e.g., timestamp, device ID, coin cost) for billing and abuse-prevention purposes, but not the image itself or the prompt content, unless required temporarily for content moderation or fraud investigation.
- Your chat messages and prompts may be transiently processed by third-party AI providers to generate responses. We do not control, and are not responsible for, how these third-party providers handle data on their end beyond what is disclosed in this policy. Please refer to Section 5 for more on third parties.
1.3 In-App Activity and Purchase Data
We collect data related to your use of the App, including:
- Coin balance, transactions, and history (earned/spent)
- Unlocked AI Companion models
- Streak progress
- Game progress and level completions
- Subscription/premium status (linked to your Google Play purchase information)
- Ad interactions (e.g., rewarded ad completions, for granting rewards)
1.4 Analytics Data
We use a third-party analytics service to collect usage analytics, such as which features are used, screen views, button taps, session duration, and app open events. This helps us understand how the App is used and improve it.
1.5 Advertising Data
We use third-party advertising services to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads. These services may collect your advertising ID and other device information to serve and measure ads, including potentially personalized ads, subject to your device-level ad settings and consent choices presented in the App (where applicable, e.g., for users in regions covered by consent frameworks like GDPR/UK or India's DPDP Act).
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect or require:
- Your name, email address, or phone number
- Login credentials or account passwords
- Precise GPS location
- Payment card details (handled entirely by the app store's payment system)
- Government-issued IDs, biometric data, or health data
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate and maintain your in-app profile (coins, unlocks, streaks, premium status) without requiring login
- Generate AI chat responses and AI images based on your input
- Process in-app purchases and subscriptions through the app store's billing system
- Serve advertisements and grant rewarded-ad-based rewards
- Analyze app usage to improve features, fix bugs, and guide product decisions
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, exploitation of bugs, or violations of our Terms of Service
- Comply with legal obligations, including responding to lawful requests from authorities
4. Legal Basis and Age Restriction
The App is intended for users 18 years of age and older only. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will take steps to delete the associated data and terminate that user's access.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We share limited information with third-party service providers, solely to operate the App, in the following categories:
- AI content generation: to generate AI Companion chat responses and images based on your input
- Backend and database hosting: to store your device profile, coin balances, and related metadata
- Analytics: to understand app usage and improve the App
- Advertising: to serve banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads
- Payments and subscriptions: to process in-app purchases and subscriptions through the app store's billing system
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We may add, remove, or change third-party providers at any time; this policy will be updated to reflect material changes.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. Data Storage and International Transfers
Our backend infrastructure and third-party service providers may store or process data on servers located outside India, including in jurisdictions such as the United States or European Union. By using the App, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in these jurisdictions, which may have data protection laws different from those in your country.
7. Data Retention
- Device profile data (coin balance, unlocks, streaks, premium status, device identifiers) is retained for as long as your profile is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for fraud-prevention and legal purposes, unless you request deletion (see Section 8).
- Chat messages and generated images are stored only on your device and are retained until you delete them or uninstall the App — we have no access to or copy of this content.
- Analytics data is retained per our analytics provider's standard retention practices, generally in aggregated/anonymized form for long-term trend analysis.
8. Your Rights and Data Deletion
You have the right to request:
- A copy of the data we hold that is linked to your device identifier;
- Correction of inaccurate data;
- Deletion of your data from our servers.
How to Request Data Deletion
To request deletion of your data, send an email to rajaakumarii69@gmail.com from any email address, using the template provided in Section 9 below, along with your device identifier (Android ID), which you can find in the App under Settings (or similar).
What happens after your request:
- We will verify your request and locate the data associated with the provided device identifier.
- We will delete your coin balance, unlock status, streak data, purchase linkage data, and any associated device/advertising identifiers from our database within 30 days of verification.
- We will send you a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
- Some data may be retained for a limited additional period where required for legal compliance, fraud investigation, or dispute resolution, after which it will be deleted.
- Please note: deleting server-side data does not automatically delete chats or images stored locally on your device — those are removed by uninstalling the App or clearing its local storage. Active premium subscriptions must be cancelled separately via Google Play, as deleting your data does not cancel an active subscription.

- This will delete my coin balance, unlocked content, streak progress,
and associated device data from your servers.
- This will not delete chats/images stored locally on my device.
- I must separately cancel any active subscription via Google Play.

10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including atomic database operations with row-level locking for coin transactions, and access controls on our backend infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to, and must not be used by, individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us using the details in Section 13, and we will take steps to delete such information and restrict access.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other reasons. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice where feasible. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
